The heavy vinyl back is designed to make the rug lay flat and avoid tripping hazards. The vinyl backing is non slip on most surfaces.
• All of their hearth rugs meet the CPSC standard FF 1 - 70 for flammability of carpets. This test is often called the “pill test” and certifies that the carpet will not continue to support combustion once the ignition source has cooled or been removed. The ember that pops out may char a spot on the hearth rug but the rug will not burn. It will protect the underlying surface.
