No, I would not recommend this to a friend
This lamp is put together in three sections. The sections have threats and coupling. The threads are cut very shallow and out of soft material that will not allow any torque. After a few days on the patio the lamp became very wobbly and I had to use a metal glue to hole the lamp together. I would not recommend this product.
