Yes, Siree, mosey on up and meet Lil' Tex. Modeled after our popular BBQ075 Texas Style grill. The Lil' Tex is a "pint sized" grill with a "ten gallon" cooking potential. 418 sq. inches of cooking surface. Just like the bigger BBQ075, the Lil'Tex features a high-tech auger-fed burner, electronic Autostart, Solid state control system, and EZ-drain grease system. All the most popular Traeger features in a size and at a price for the masses. Now everyone can join in on the fun!

Why own a Traeger grill?
  • TASTE: Food cooked on a Traeger pellet grill tastes better than food cooked on gas or charcoal grills. A wood fire is a more natural, healthier way to cook.
  • SMOKER: Absolutely the best smoker you can own. Cook gourmet smoked foods in your own backyard. Hardwood smoke penetrates the food, adding tremendous flavor. Smoke fish, jerky etc.
  • SAFETY: Far safer than either gas or charcoal grills. No gas leaks or smoldering briquettes to worry about. Fire safety officials love our grills!
  • AUTO-START SYSTEM: Automatically lights the pellets every time you turn on the power switch. You're cooking in just minutes! No Flare-ups: Our exclusive, patented E-Z Grease Drain System transports grease drippings out of the cooking chamber into a galvanized catch bucket. There's less chance of frustrating flare-ups developing, while you cook.
  • VERSATILITY: Your pellet grill is four appliances in one! Smokes, Barbecues, Grills, Bakes. The three position cooking control switch lets you cook anything in a Traeger!
  • HEALTHIER COOKING:Cooking on a pellet grill adds zero fat, cholesterol or calories to your food. Indirect cooking systems are recommended by the National Cancer Institute because they produce less benzopyrene.

I use this almost everyday. Set it and forget it. I cooked up a mess of ribs when I first got it and had a party. I was told by all that these were the best ribs they had ever eaten. No sauce required. I have since done brisket, salmon, chicken, party style ribs, etc.. All were excellent. This smoker is easy so easy to use. The food tastes awesome. Experiment with different mixes of pellets to find a mix you really like!!! The food is really so good that the cost of the pellets DOES NOT MATTER!!!! Enjoy!!!

Amazing food, high cost of consumables
By dougaVerified Purchaser from Kansas City, MO on 6/1/2007
Pros:
Adds Flavor To Meal, Cooks Efficiently, eas, Large Grilling Surface
Cons:
Messy Cleanup
Best Uses:
Slow Cooking, Weekend Cooking
Describe Yourself:
Occasional Griller
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Two disappointments first: the pellets are expensive (compared with charcoal which I replaced with this grill) and the Traeger doesn't always heat up upon turning it on (so I have to watch it for 2-3 minutes). One time I waited too long and got a couple of M-80 sounding explosions from inside the grill (kind of scary).
Now that I have the hand of it, I am so pleased with the ease in which incredible food can be prepared. I smoked a brisket the 2nd day I owned the grill and it was top notch amazing! Can't wait to try ribs.

Easy, precise BBQ
By HawkVerified Reviewer from Salem, OR on 12/28/2006
Pros:
Durable, Good Value, High Quality
Cons:
Expensive
Best Uses:
BBQ

This is a true BBQ, I have own smokers, kettle bbq and weber summit grill. They have all been replaced by my Traeger. I opted for the digital temp. control and can control the temp. at 25 degree increments. This thing is amazing, no adding briquettes every couple hours and sprinkling wood chips over and over. Just turn it on to the temp you want stick a remote thermometer in the meat and go inside. This is real bbq low and slow with 12 different wood flavored chips to choose from. the taste is out of this world.
