I used the old Weber grill. After 10 years the lid was a little warped from being dropped, the grills were burned to weak wires, and the legs would fall off when I carried it to the trash can to empty it. The new Gold Weber works as neatly as the old one with that wonderful charcoal cooked flavor. [...]The ash sweeper takes repeated movements to get the ash into the pot below, but it is much easier to transport to the trash. On flaw is that the ash pan will collect water in the rain, so the ashes will cake a bit. Overall, I'm glad to have a replacement Weber. I think that the added features of the Gold version are worth the extra $$$. Good Cooking!
