Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Heats an average size room quickly, but doesn't maintain temp well. Followed manufacturer instructions for setting temp, but it doesn't cycle on/off by itself very well. Will continue heating room until turned off manually.

I have now purchased 4 of these units the oldest being 12 years old now and all are still going strong. All other brands I have purchased have died within 1 to 2 years. Great product!
