I have been through my fair share of the average space heaters and to date this one is the most reliable and energy efficient model I have EVER purchased. I was worried when I first received the unit as the unit emits a buzzing noise when first turned on but this is absolutely normal as you are hearing the quartz heat up. After 5 seconds of warm up you can hardly tell the unit is running besides the fact it heats up the room very quickly. This is my first quartz heater.....I WILL NEVER GO BACK!

From day 1 last fall there was a problem. I exchanged it for another, same model, Same problem,temp control inoperative. Fiddled with it and got it to work on occasion. This year fall I can't get it to come on at all. Its now in the trash and I will now buy another of this brand. I willingly spread the word to anyone who inquires. These heaters were faulty from the get go.
