The install was easy, anyone who is remotely handy should be able to do it. The only issue is it is a tight space obviously. I should have spent the money a long time ago. I took the temp in the room, turned the blower on, and within 15 minutes, the room had come up 4 degrees.
I was impressed with Barbecues.com for a great price compared to local dealers, and due to the speed of delivery and accuracy of order.

It's a blower kit. It arrived as described. The printed instructions were a little tough to decipher but in the end, with some common sense and guess work, the part was installed and working in less than 30 minutes. I was disapointed in the thermal sensor and ultimately spliced the wires to bypass it. After a few weeks of use, it is fairly quite and does a good job of pushing out warm air. I am glad I added it to my fireplace insert.
Delivery was prompt and the unit arrived in good condition.

Overall the item was very easy to install after figuring out to take off a portion of the louvered screen in order to get the fan into place.. The directions were lacking minor tips/instructions.
Other than that it works great.
I was glad I was able to install it myself, it isn't complicated and doesn't take any special tools. The instructions aren't clear enough on which is which terminal when plugging the red/black wires onto the blower terminals. The picture shows the terminals on the wrong side from the blower, not a big deal but the picture doesn't show which terminal goes with which wire. I put the red on the right terminal and the black wire on the left -- all is working well! On the thermistor, I don't think it matters which wire goes on which terminal.
The blower is quieter than I expected, I'm very pleased with that!

The blower unit was a bit of a challenge to install and the directions could be clearer.

We thought that the price was right. [...]. The set up was fairly easy BUT the thermostat didn't work. We ended up bypassing the thermostat and the blower works great. We actually like it better to be able to control the blower with a switch and not the thermostat. Warms the whole room and even the rooms adjacent. Overall, probably worth the price.

We have a new construction home and the fireplace didn't come with a blower. We found in the instruction manual that this was the blower that fits. It goes on the bottom of the fireplace, took an hour to install, read the instructions carefully, its a tight fit. If you are a handy person you should have no problem installing this.
