Polycarbonate Light, what's that?
Polycarbonate is a transparent, nontoxic, non-corrosive, heat resistant, high impact strength plastic. Lenses are designed using this for impact resistance. Polycarbonate is anywhere from four to ten times as impact resistant as any other lens; in fact, it is used for bulletproof windows. It is light and thin like other high-index lenses.
